The Beginning

1. And yes, a new blog. I'm Nik Noorizati Ab Kahar and known as Zaty among my TESL friends. Originally a Kelantanese born in Terengganu. A broke student who is both language and art enthusiast that binge reading whenever she can.

   Would be a noob in computer programs but am able to conduct and use computer at adequate level thus making me a novice. Are able to use simple software and has been using blogs for more than a decade.
   
   Possess basic skills in using software as simple as Microsoft Office and a few video editing programs such as SonyVegas.
   
   Using websites to study is essential nowadays. there are a few sites that I have been using. Owl Purdue, Sparksnotes and even Youtube can be a great help in both teaching and learning process. I have used materials  online for my teaching since there are a vast ideas that can be found on the internet. You just have to know where to find them.
   
   I did manage to incorporate technology in my teaching during the practicum. Either I project the materials using LCD projector or I conducted my lesson in the computer lab. but the latter was a bit hard since the labs were occupied most of the time. I can see the difference in students' willingness to participate in class especially when we start using teaching aids that relayed to the technology since the newer generations are mostly computer and technology savvy.
   
   It helps to grab their attention and to make sure they keep being interested in the lesson until the end of it. It also helps them to utilize the internet for education purpose not only for entertainment and games.
   I expect myself to be better in handling stuff related to technologies and would be able to incorporate them in my lesson for a better learning experience.
3. My topic is Preservice Teachers' Perception Towards Teaching Profession After Practicum. This topic was chosen since I'm aware of some of my friends seem to think that teaching is not something that they will do after graduating. Thus, I am interested to find what are the reasons behind this changes of perception and how can we tackle this problems. I'll be supervised by Madam Norsiah Sirun for my AE and I'll be keeping tabs on my progress with the AE and report them to my SV so that I would be able to finish my AE according to the allocated time.
